e.l.f. Spring 2013 Essential 14-Piece Nail Cube - Limited Edition Swatches
You may remember my swatches of 2012 winter e.l.f. polish cube I previously posted. For those swatches click HERE.
Well, e.l.f. recently released there 2013 spring cube.
I love all of these colors! Some are new, others are not. But still a very good collection.
I was however disappointed in the bottles. Most had dried polish on the rim when opening the bottle. 4 of the polishes I had to trim off some of the brush, Whoever put it together wasn't careful to make sure all the bristles were down.
Also, the brushes were not consistent. Some were thin while others super thick.
The color "Sunflower" had black on the rim when I opened it. I would have ruined the polish if I hadn't noticed it and cleaned it right away.
I kind of felt as if these had been used before. Now,I realize that's not the case. But, these looked like some polishes you would find in a drug store that has been tested over and over.
Now, that been said,I do love all these colors very much. And I happened to purchase this cube when it was on sale for $10. I also received free shipping. I'm not sure complains or reaching out to e.l.f. will do any good. It seems like a design flaw to me.
Anyway,I would still purchase these beauties.
Update! I went ahead and sent them an email in regards to my bottles. My cousin Krystal from beautybykrystal.com suggested doing so. She has very good feed back about e.l.f. customer service.Well, not only did they send me another Spring Cube, they sent me 2!!! So, if you have any problems with your order thru e.l.f., don't hesitate to let them know.

Golden Rainbow Water Marbling
These were so fun to create! I haven't done marbling in a while. It was good to get back in to it.
I went thru my collection and picked out the basic colors in the rainbow.
I painted all my nails one coat of white polish. Then marbled each finger with two of the colors that are next in line of the other in the rainbow. To watch my how to marbling video click HERE.
My thumb is blue and green. The pointer is green and yellow. Middle is yellow and orange. Ring is orange and red. And the pinkie is red and purple.
I then went back and added a gradient gold glitter.
Its a fun nail design for St Patrick day.

Easter Egg Hunt Mani
Base is Orly in Snowcone. Eggs are Sinful Colors from the Sugar Rush collection. The grass and white details on the eggs is acrylic paint. All sealed in with Sech Vite.
I first painted my nail with the blue.
I then created the grass with a fine art brush and acrylic green paint.
Next I made the the egg shapes.
Once dry I went back with my art brush and white acrylic paint do add the detail to the eggs.
Then added just a few more strands of grass.
Then added a top coat.

Easter Egg Nail Art
This manicure looks harder then it is. Yes,it is time consuming. But,not hard.
For this manicure I used colors from the Sugar Rush collection by Color Club. Some beautiful pastels at affordable prices.
Start by prepping your tape. I used nail tape, but painters tape or scotch tape work great too.
Make sure your base colors are completely dry before taping off.
Then grab a pallet, fine art brush and a tooth pick or dotting tool.
Place a small amount of polish on your pallet and begin placing color where you wish.
The wonderful thing about this design is that anything goes! Mix and match however you wish!
Once your happy with the color placement, remove the tape. Then add all the small details with your art brush and dotting tool. I found different ideas from pictures of decorated eggs online.Dots, flowers, squiggle lines and stripes.
Yes, I redid my pinkie finger. I did not like so much white.
