Julie G Frosted Gumdrop Textured Nail Polish Swatches

Believe it or not,Groupon was having a deal on this set and my mom snatched these up for each of us. We did a small nail swap yesterday. I gave her the e.l.f. Spring Cube (swatches HERE ) and she gave me these! Good swap I think!
Right away I swatched these beauties. Any polish named after candy is right up my alley.
These don't need any top coat. If you are only going to have these on for a day or two,I recommend using the Elmer's glue technique for the base. Like any glitter polish it take hard work to remove.
Or these can last a long time if you just use a regular base coat.
I love these textured polishes! They don't snag on anything. And are so fun to touch. All swatches are two coats.

Hot Cinnamon

Rock Candy

Blueberry Fizz

Crushed Candy

Sugar Rush

Tangerine Dream

Which one is your favorite? Mine is Blueberry Fizz.

For this nail art design I used:
A fine art brush
A medium sized dotting tool (a tooth pick works as well)
Nail art tape ( scotch tape is fine if the nail is completely dry)
For the flower I used acrylic paint. Black, white, red and crimson.
My base polish is from Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Midnight in NY
For the white dots I use Sinful Colors in Snow Me White
The french band and center of the flower is China Glaze in Def Defying
The other green in the center of the flower is Sinful Colors in exotic Green
And the glitter dot in the very center of the flower is from Color Club Holiday Glitter collection.

Liquid Sky Lacquer in Koi Pond (Indie Polish)

This swatch is 2 coats. I then went back in and placed 5 more pieces of glitter. I love this color combination!
Koi Pond by http://liquidskylacquer.bigcartel.com/ is a milky base light blue polish with glitter in white squares, big blue hex, medium black hex, medium red hex and yellow shred. I had no problem with application  I just really love more glitter. So, I added more. The brush picks up the polish and glitter very nicely.

Candies Lustre Thermal Changing Polish (Indie Polish)

Thermal color changing nail polishes have become very popular in the Indie polish world. I am positive you will be seeing name brand polish makers releasing there own thermals soon. Candied Lustre released her own thermal changing beauties. I ordered Berry Confusion and a glitter top coat called Fantasy Fetti.
I loved playing with these polishes!!
