Matte Stamping

I did these a couple weeks ago and forgot to post them.
My base is two coats of Orly in Liquid Vinyl. I stamped with butter London Matte Finish. Basically I stamped like you would with regular polish only I used the matte finish. This wont work with all matte finishes. Only those that require one coat to create the matte finish.
Also,I worked faster then normal because the matte finish dries faster then regular polish.

Essence Vintage District Polish Review and Swatch

Sadly I am missing one polish from this collection. The stores near me never carried it for some reason. I went to 6 Fred Meyers and not one had the other items in the collection. They never even stocked the entire collection. These are $1.99 each.
Anyway, I am missing "Get Arty".
I do however have Vintage Peach, Antique Pink and Shopping @ Portobello Road. I will continue to look for the last polish. Its going to drive me nuts!
On to the review and swatches.

Vintage Peach
This swatch took 3 coats. I am fan of one or two coat polishes. But, this color is beautiful. The brush had a couple longer bristles which had to be trimmed.

The glitter was very easy to work with. These are holographic diamonds.

Shopping @ Portobello Road
This is my favorite and was the easiest to apply. Two coats.
Such a beautiful blue.
BUT! When I removed it to swatch another color,it stained my nails so bad. It couldn't have been on longer then 7 minutes. My nails are still stained.

Antique Pink
In person this is much more pink. Also two coats.

I was so very excited to see Cheeky came out with new jumbo stamping plates this spring! And 10?! Omy goodness! If you have seen my past blog post about Cheeky, then you know how much I adore them.

On Amazon you can purchase all 10 plates for $85.99 or a set of 5 for $45.99 or a single plate for $9.49.
I purchased 4 singles. Shipping is NOT free as of yet. But,look for them to have free super saver at some point.
Eventually I am sure I will purchase the rest of the plates. But, for now I picked out my favorites.
I am very pleased with these plates. About 80%-90% of all these images transferred nicely.

A Part of Something Amazing....

A couple months back I was contacted by the team over at
Someone posted my Marbled Marbles Mani on there site and they wanted to know if I would like to be an Ambassador for them. In which I would create nail art looks and post them onto there site. Or write as a guest blogger.
I was over the moon excited to be part of such an amazing group of women. I had to say yes, yes, yes!

Well, this morning I received an email from Sara Wigger, a Social Beauty Editor for Bloom.
She wrote:

Feathered Friends Mani/Pedi. Bird Nail Art

I don't usually match my finger nails to my toe nails. Mostly because of how often I change my polish. Today, however,I had some extra time to do just that.
My base color is from Nicole by O.P.I. in Life Saver. The black is Orly in Liquid Vinyl.
I stamped from 2013 Cheeky plate 7.
I then used my black Stripe Write to create the branches.
I grabbed a yellow polish and made my birds yellow Finch's, with a fine art brush.

"Cuticula" Cuticle Oil

The day is finally here! Cuticula is now available thru our Etsy Shop.

A couple month ago, while visiting my cousin, (Carrie Vallone) we decided to go for an afternoon walk. The conversation led to us talking about what we were striving to do in our lives.
She wanted more people to know the healing benefits of the oils she was selling. I would listen to all sorts of remedies she would tell me. I have been using it myself for many house hold and medicinal needs.
I began talking about my nail art and how I wished I could reach more people. And then I talked about how I wanted my nails longer and thicker. She then said of course "You know there are many different essential oils that promote cuticle healing and nail growth right?" "Light Bulb!!!"
That very night we talked non stop about creating a cuticle oil that not only healed your cuticles but also could be used for many different things.
Cuticula was born. Which means cuticle in Italian.

Here are our products and a brief description of Cuticula.

Cuticula  /cu·tic·u·la/ Oil blends are formulated for easy cuticle application but can also be used in the bath, mani and pedi water, massage, as a perfume, etc. Each bottle contains Melaleuca (Tea Tree) oil in the blend to provide potent anti- fungal properties. Only the purest essential oils are used in our blends. Additional oils are available and can be custom blended to meet your needs.

Tender Lavender Care
A soothing, yet power-packed, blend of pure Lavender and mighty Melaleuca (Tea Tree) Essential Oils that promotes a healthy protective skin layer - Cuticula! Naturally antibiotic, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, and much more.
Alternate uses - great for bites, stings, scrapes, burns, or any other skin condition that could use some T.L.C.

Sugared Orange Appeal
An uplifting blend of pure Essential Oils combined to promote healing and joy. A variety of invigorating Citrus and refreshing Bergamot oils with a hint of Vanilla will brighten your day! Dab a bit on as a perfume as a wonderful alternative use.

Oh, Snap!
A snappy little number with Ginger, Lemon and Cinnamon to liven the senses and spice up your life. Careful! You might get a cookie craving after your manicure.
Alternate uses - dab on your wrist and inhale the aroma to help with congestion or nausea.
